As part of the gender-specific intervention that Grameen Yemen Foundation is implementing and feeling responsible for, it launched a project to issue personal identity cards for members and their families in order to alleviate the burdens and expenses they incur to obtain electronic identity cards. The Foundation, in cooperation with the Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority, issued electronic identity cards for all members of the Grameen Yemen Foundation and their families. This project had a positive impact on the beneficiary families, as the service was provided easily and smoothly through the Foundation team and the Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority mobile station, which moved between the targeted and remote villages to issue the identity cards.
