Primary Education

  • The poor in rural areas live in extremely difficult living conditions that threaten the future of education among children, who are unable to attend school due to their families' inability to meet their basic food and drink needs, leading them to turn to the labor market. This situation threatens to perpetuate poverty for generations to come. The deterioration of the educational infrastructure is also one of the challenges facing education in Yemen, including providing textbooks and necessary school supplies. To encourage children to attend school, the Grameen Yemen Foundation provides basic school supplies and textbooks to the children of poor families in rural areas to create an educational environment that combats children's dropping out of school.
