Solar Energy

  • In light of the collapse of electricity in Yemen and the absence of service, residents of rural areas suffer a lot of deprivation for many years and live in complete darkness, which troubles most families who cannot afford to provide lighting for their homes. The Grameen Yemen Foundation, as part of its interventions and activities supporting poor families, contributes to lighting three thousand homes of the poor with solar energy, which contains fans to protect them from the severe heat wave at affordable prices and with an easy installment system to facilitate their acquisition of the systems and alleviate their suffering and raise their living standards. This has positively affected the daily life of those families, as well as helped school children to review their lessons and daily homework under the light.
