"To achieve its goals of alleviating unemployment and poverty, Grameen Yemen Foundation granted livestock breeders in the northern districts of Hodeidah (8,147) funding from the heart of the suffering of the people of Tihama, where they face poverty and harsh challenges, Grameen Yemen Foundation comes as a lifeline. Through its comprehensive strategy to reduce unemployment and poverty, the Foundation focused on developing livestock, as it is the main source and hope for many families, as livestock is a major source of income for the people of the region. Thanks to the efforts of Grameen Yemen Foundation, which included providing funding to livestock breeders, comprehensive and free veterinary services, and supporting the construction of pens to protect livestock from the harshness of nature. These interventions contributed significantly to increasing the number of livestock to 85,610 heads by May 2024, and also contributed to raising the income level of poor families and improving their standard of living"
