“How Grameen Yemen improved the lives of thousands of families by covering 5,536 of its members’ homes with solar energy systems in the northern districts of Hodeidah.”
Grameen Yemen was established in 2018 as a local non-profit organization inspired by the microcredit and social business concepts of Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. The organization plays a significant role in alleviating poverty and improving the economic and social conditions in rural areas by adopting and adapting the “Bank for the Poor” model.
