Job Description

The Graphic Designer works with various Art Jameel teams to meet the organization’s design needs. The role reports to the Communications Manager and is part of the communications team based in Dubai, working alongside the communications coordinators in Dubai and Jeddah. The Graphic Designer is also responsible for managing Art Jameel’s visual arts archive and producing new graphic content in line with the organization’s brand guidelines.

This new position focuses on delivering and updating digital and print materials, including brochures, websites, videos, presentations, e-newsletters, invitations, advertising campaigns, and other creative assets—sometimes designed entirely from scratch, and at other times in accordance with guidelines provided by external designers with expertise in specific fields. Therefore, the ideal candidate should be capable of working within a collaborative team, fluent in both Arabic and English, passionate about success, and have a strong interest in the arts, creative taste, and exceptional attention to detail.

Reporting Structure

The Graphic Designer reports to the Communications Manager.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Support the Art Jameel team in designing and executing projects
• Create original graphic content that appeals to diverse audiences
• Work with external designers’ guidelines for specific campaigns and publications
• Assist in producing video, print, and web materials as needed
• Execute ideas from concept development to final delivery with accuracy, obtain approvals, and perform thorough quality checks before printing or publishing
• Contribute to communication and marketing campaign strategies and concepts
• Apply an intuitive and creative approach to brand aesthetics
• Update and manage websites, video libraries, and image archives
• Support social media managers in developing online campaigns and graphics

Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Art, Media, Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, or equivalent education and experience
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Suite
• Experience in designing websites and creative interactive digital media
• Ability to communicate concepts quickly and effectively through sketches, storyboards, and wireframes
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently to meet deadlines, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred experience: working in a creative environment
• Required skills: proficiency in English and Arabic (reading and writing)

Working Conditions

• This is a full-time position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• All Art Jameel team members are required to take one reception desk shift every 2–3 weeks
• The employee may occasionally be required to work weekends or evenings depending on work schedules and program needs
